All seven container sizes we deliver in Los Angeles County, modelled at real dimensions. Drag to rotate, scroll or pinch to zoom, and compare any size against a person, a minivan or a pickup truck. On a phone you can drop a life-size bin on your own driveway in AR.
These are the real numbers behind the models above. Length and width are what the container occupies on your driveway; height is the wall you have to lift debris over. Weight is what is included before overage, and the price is the lowest starting rate across our Los Angeles County haulers.

Volume and weight are two different limits, and the second one is what catches people out. A 40 yard holds four times the volume of a 10 yard but only about two and a half times the weight, because the truck has a legal axle limit no container can exceed. That is why heavy inert material — concrete, dirt, brick, asphalt, tile — goes in a low-sided 6 or 12 yard lowboy instead of a tall roll-off: you fill the weight allowance long before you fill the box.
Wall height matters more than most people expect. A 15 and a 20 yard have the same 14 ft × 7 ft footprint; the 20 just has 6 ft walls instead of 4 ft. That extra volume is free driveway-wise, but every piece of debris has to go two feet higher. For heavy individual items, the shorter bin is usually the easier day.
Driveway fit. A typical residential driveway runs 16 to 20 ft, so everything up to a 20 yard fits comfortably. A 40 yard needs its 20 ft plus roughly 60 ft of straight clear approach for the truck to roll it off, which is why it usually ends up on the street — and a bin in the street needs a permit in almost every LA County city. Our dumpster permit guide has the rule and the department for each one.
Open this page on a phone and tap See it in your yard. Your camera places a life-size container on the ground in front of you at true scale, so you can walk around it, check it against your gate and your parked car, and see whether the lid clears the eaves before anything is booked. It runs through AR Quick Look on iPhone and Scene Viewer on Android, with no app to install. As far as we know no other dumpster company in Los Angeles County offers this.
